Introducing the project:
Crypto Rocks Rescue is an NFT collection created by former AAA Videogame Industry Artist Timothée Mathon (Owlbear Factory) with the collaboration of the VFX artist Notts (@Notts00320188). With more than 5 years of experience in the AAA Videogame industry, Timothée has worked for some of the biggest companies in the world such as Ubisoft, Quantic Dream, Netflix, Net Ease Games, and many more.
Timothée wanted to test how far it was possible to convey storytelling using simple elements and how much he could spark strong reactions from the viewers. With just two carefully placed googly eyes to fit some of the support’s details, the rocks are given a strong personality and every rock went through many tests and iterations to make sure each of them are as relatable as possible.
100 Rocks, as if they were real:
Using his 3D skills from the AAA Videogame Industry, Timothée did an extensive Artificial Photography work on every piece of the collection to get them to look photoreal and thus make them even more relatable.
Each rock was carefully crafted with Blender and rendered with the bleeding-edge E-Cycles Renderer before being composited in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.
No compromise was made on the quality of the 3D models. All models have been subdivided into millions of polygons to assure a perfectly organic look. Every texture has 4k to 8k resolution and is coming from the best texture website in the world making their surfaces as convincing as current technology allows for.

With 13 years of experience as a Dungeons and Dragons Game Master, including multiple years-long homemade campaigns created from scratch, Timothée wanted to tie all the rocks together with a narrative adventure for the NFT community.
Attached to every rock is a bit of story linking them all, and guiding the community through a massive puzzle tied to the collection.

We won’t spoil anything…but there is definitely something big which lies behind the 100 first Rocks of the collection :)
All we can say is…expect some cryptic documents, expect some madness, and if you want to join the be ready to get your brain to melt :)
A dedicated Discord server will be opened few days before the initial release to allow the community to work on cracking that secret. Stay tuned !
